What does the Soviet Tank Graveyard in Afghanistan have in common with the Romeo and Juliet House in Verona, Italy? Jan Chipchase discovers the former is covered in spraypaint declarations of love. Showing a “distinct lack of imagination or a purity to the form: I love u Reece/Heather/Kristina/Tonya; Barnhill was here 2008, Bertie 07.” The Romeo and Juliet House is famously covered in lovers scribbles, although a $200,000 clean up operation was announced earlier this year.
